Zoko Retiro - Restaurante En El Retiro

I honestly can’t explain what this place is like, you have to go and experience it for yourself ! For anyone who loves food and wants to try a truly different concept, YOU HAVE TO COME HERE !! Everything from the look, the taste, the texture and the smell makes your senses tingle as each new dish you don’t know how it is going to look, and even more how it will taste, and every time it doesn’t disappoint. Our first time here and every time we come to Madrid we have to come back here. The service is great, very helpful with suggestions and guidance, the atmosphere is vibrant and the prices are very reasonable for the level of quality you receive. It’s like a Michelin Star restaurant around by your corner shop. One of the best.

Excellent place to go with your friends or partner. We had an excellent rice paella style which was, in our view, amongst the best we ever had. We definitely wish to return. We were really well received by the restaurant team, notably from Maria

I was in the terrace, which it's pretty normal, but inside looks very good. They have a very nice menu, all sounds delicious, but we choose burger and tuna solomillo, it was delicious.

In our experiece this would be closer to 4 stars than to 5. We ordered eggplant (delicious), the dish of the house (good combo of tuna choices, we found it slightly overpriced tho for the quantity and quality, not being bad, wasn't superb) and cheesecake (close to Tarta de queso La Viña) Ambience was good, attention 4/5 Recommended but watch out the bill

One of our favorite restaurants in Zahara de Los Atunes, finally arrived to Madrid. Incredible tuna - You can’t miss the Pornografia de atun. We had the tuna tacos and the tuna tartar. We will come back to try the Tuna ribs (if they are as good as the ones in Zahara, it’s a hit!)

Today we had an event at the Retiro park and we had lunch at Zoko Retiro and it was PERFECT. The staff is lovely, all of them, from the waiters to the kitchen staff! Congratulations, you made our event to be a success!!! the food was beyond delicious!! I highly recommend going there for lunch, dinner or only to taste their croquetas, one of the best in the city!

Nice place with good food although a bit pricey for what you get. Tuna is good but not prominent in most dishes. I liked the ensaladilla and the tuna tartar. Vegetables were a bit salty, in particular the eggplants. The waiter made some confusion with the orders of a girl in our group who was lactose intolerant, for example telling her that some products were ok for her to order when they weren’t. This was corrected on time, but not ideal
